Technical Consultant
Prior to consulting, Moon served as Director of Software Development for Absolute Performance, Inc., an IT services company supplying infrastructure monitoring and system performance analysis to medium to large companies. As Director of Software Development, Moon was primarily responsible for new research and development, driving key innovation and improvement of a sophisticated software product framework used to capture and analyze performance data for applications, services and operating systems.
Prior
to joining Absolute Performance, Moon served as VP of Technology for Active.com. At
Active.com, Moon brought an in depth background leading multiple
web development and design teams, driving web architectural design
and application strategies for a range of Internet solutions companies.
He managed Active.com's engineering, technical planning, software
architecture and implementation, in addition to IT operations. Active.com
has recently been recognized as one of eight "dot-com survivors"
by the E-Commerce Times, a group which includes companies such as
eBay, Yahoo! and Amazon.com.
Active.com
acquired LeagueLink, Inc., a company that Moon helped create and
subsequently develop as the Vice President of Technology. He led
the design and implementation of the web strategies for the company's
services, which consisted of web-based administrative management
tool for sports teams and leagues. After composing a top-tier web
development team, he went on to successfully lead the company through
alpha and beta development cycles, concluding with a successful
launch.
Prior
to that, Moon was senior web services developer for Sun Microsystems
in Broomfield, Colo. As a member of the company's Web Services Development
group, he participated in the architectural design of a security
framework for the secure delivery of business applications and data
over the Internet. He also worked in the company's ENS Web Services
Engineering group, responsible for technical and creative aspects
of enterprise infrastructure/Intranet development and deployment
of web technologies.
Additional
experience includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at DigLife,
an Internet start-up based in Boulder, Colo. At DigLife, Moon supplied
technical direction, architecture, development and implementation
for the company's Internet service. He also served as founder and
instructor for Web Alliance, an informal organization of Boulder
area web developers committed to fostering the technologies of the
web through web workshops. He also produced, designed and engineered
web sites for Global Commerce Systems, consulting for such clients
as Sprint and TSYS. Moon has also developed award-winning sites,
responsible for designing and implementing a web site for Boulder
Publishing. His BoulderNews site was awarded four stars by Luckman
Interactive for content, design and flow, and was named Colorado's
2nd Best Newspaper Site by the Colorado Press Association.
With
a bachelor of arts degree from Dartmouth College - graduating summa
cum laude with high honors - Moon also attended Harvard Law School.
In addition to language, operating systems, web server, unix administration,
and web technology skills, he received a certificate in Unix Systems
Management from New York University.
